Trincomalee's deep bay is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see blue whales and dolphins.

What to expect
Trincomalee sits on one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, and the deep water close to shore draws blue whales, sperm whales and pods of spinner dolphins.
Boats leave early in the morning while the sea is still flat, and trips usually last three to four hours.
